Emergency Website & App Support

If your website or web app is down — a 500 error, a white screen, a page stuck loading or a login that no longer works — we step in fast, find the layer where it actually breaks, and get you back online. We don't guess by technology: we work through site/CMS, frontend, backend, hosting, database and deployment until the real cause is isolated and fixed. Remote, worldwide, no subscription, billed in 30-minute increments, with a reply within 2 business hours.

Situations we handle every week

  • Your site shows a plain "HTTP 500 - Internal Server Error" and nothing else — no page, no admin, no clue.
  • A blank white screen (the classic "white screen of death") with no content and no error message on the page.
  • The homepage loads but checkout, login or the admin dashboard throws an error or spins forever.
  • You pushed an update or a plugin/theme change and the whole site went down straight after the deploy.
  • "Error establishing a database connection" — the site can't reach its database and every page is dead.
  • Customers can't log in, sessions drop instantly, or password resets never arrive.
  • The app is timing out or returning 502/503/504 — it was fine yesterday, nothing changed on your side.
  • Your host says "the server is fine" but the application is clearly broken — and the person who built it is gone.
  • SSL/HTTPS is broken or expired, browsers block the site, or it redirects in an endless loop.
  • The site is slow to the point of being unusable, or crashes under normal traffic.

How we diagnose an outage, in order

  1. Confirm the exact symptom and reproduce it: which URL, which action, what the visitor and the server actually return (500, 502, 503, white screen, timeout) — so we fix the real fault, not a guess.
  2. Check the outer layers first: is the domain/DNS resolving, is HTTPS/SSL valid, is the host or server responding at all? This separates a hosting/network problem from an application problem in minutes.
  3. Read the real error, not the browser's. We pull the server, application and PHP/Node logs (or enable them) to get the true stack trace — the message the visitor never sees is where the answer usually is.
  4. Isolate the failing layer: reproduce with a recent change reverted, a plugin/module disabled, or a clean config, to confirm whether it's code, a database connection, a dependency, a permission, or a deployment step.
  5. Verify the data and connections: database reachable and not corrupted or out of space, environment variables and API keys valid, file permissions and disk/memory not exhausted.
  6. Apply the smallest safe fix to restore service, confirm the whole critical path works (load, login, checkout), then tell you plainly what broke and what will stop it happening again.

Your stack isn't listed above? This isn't a compatibility list — it's a few examples. Tell us the problem and your environment (the error, the URL, how it's hosted) and we'll confirm within the first exchange whether we can take it on. If it runs on the web, we can usually get in and fix it.

Frequently asked questions

My website is showing a 500 error — what does that actually mean?

A 500 is a generic "something failed on the server" — it hides the real cause, which could be a code error, a broken plugin or dependency, a database connection, or a bad deploy. The fix always starts with reading the server and application logs, where the true error message lives. Once we see the real stack trace, the cause is usually clear fast.

How quickly can you respond to an emergency?

We reply within 2 business hours and start diagnosing straight away, remotely. There's no subscription to sign first — you describe the problem, we confirm we can take it on, and we get to work. Billing is in simple 30-minute increments.

My host says the server is fine but my site is still down. Can you help?

Yes — this is one of the most common cases we handle. When the server is healthy but the application breaks, the fault is in the code, the database, a config file or a recent change, not the hardware. We come from a hosting-support background, so we're used to bridging exactly that gap the host won't cross.

The person who built my site has disappeared. Can you still fix it?

Yes. We regularly take over sites and apps with no documentation and no original developer. We work from the running system and its logs to understand how it's put together, then fix the outage. You don't need to explain the code — that's our job to figure out.

Do I need to give you full admin access?

We need enough access to diagnose and fix the specific problem — typically hosting/server and application access for the affected site. We ask only for what the job requires, work remotely, and can walk you through granting or revoking access safely at any point.

Will you just patch it, or tell me why it broke?

Both. First we restore service with the smallest safe fix, then we tell you plainly what caused the outage and what will prevent a repeat. No jargon wall — a clear explanation of what broke and what we changed.

Site or app down right now? Send us the URL, the error you're seeing and how it's hosted. We'll confirm we can take it on and start within business hours — no subscription, billed only for the time it takes.
